Long time lurker with PM ambitions

Hi everyone,

After lurking for quite close to a year, I decided to join so I could share in my questions and have some career advice.

Late 20s MFE student who did undergraduate in field unrelated to finance, I spent last winter trying to find out what to do after my Msc and where. Based in Canada, I am trying to figure out how much of a strategic move it would be to apply to internships elsewhere… especially given that I do not see myself establishing anywhere else for more than 5-10 years.

Having spent quite the time figuring out where I do see myself a couple years down from here, I am somewhat settled on pursuing a career track that would lead to a PM position, hopefully at some interesting hedge fund. I am not sure what is the best way to get there and this is why I joined.

So if you have any advice on these questions, I would be more than happy to read about them : )
