What watches do you wear?
Just wanted to ask all the successful primates on this lovely forum, what watch do you wear? Curious to see what different people are looking at. Would also be great if you could comment how long you’ve been working.

Tudor BB58 925. Bought it with my first analyst stub bonus (worked roughly 3y now), still enjoy it a lot with no plans on changing. :)
How’s the tarnish? Taupe dial is sick but I feel like that aspect of it would piss me off.
Nomos Tangente, IWC Portofino, Junghans Max Bill are my main three (nothing crazy by finance world means). Then have some others I rotate through every once in a while (incl. some quartz watches I got early that mean a lot to me personally). Favorite "silly" watch is a Mr Jones Number Cruncher.
Baumé & Mercier Shogun or Explorer II.
Love the Exp. II. Picked up a 216570 in January and now I feel like I should sell all my other watches since they barely get worn anymore.
Breitling BO1 41mm Navitimer (2023 model)
uhhh apple watch
Hamilton murph 38mm
Thinking about getting this one
It's a great piece.
Omega Seamaster, been working for 3 years but it was my Grandads
Rolex Batman
Bro is earning
Seiko SARV001, it’s pretty cheap, looks nice, and it’s a JDM model too
Grand Seiko
Ridiculously based. Which model?
I have an SBGN003 and SBGH271
skyflake
Just picked up my grail watch - Grand Seiko spring drive. Absolutely in heaven. Perfect movement, dial, and finishing.
Garmin MARQ
+1 for the Garmin
Tag Heuer Formula 1
Zenith Defy Skeleton (IT IS A SKELETON YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE WATCH) in titanium (tried the ceramic ones, titanium was better)
214270 v2 Explorer
cartier tank must
Seamaster PO
Omega Speedy, Couple Hamiltons, and a gold Casio for fun
My grandfather’s 1970 Seiko auto chronograph
Tissot Gentleman
Same and love it. Have the blue dial version.
I love my prx but plan to get a Hamilton khaki auto
Retro 1978 submariner my grandfather had and gave me at graduation.
Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
bought it with my 2nd bonus
I have a pretty big collection (~25 3k+ watches, a few of them being heavy hitters), been working for 8 years, also got fortunate through my PA. But my no-date Sub 14060, Vacheron Overseas Gen 2, Pepsi 16710, and NTTD Omega Seamaster probably get the most wrist time right now.
How do you like the Sub vs Seamaster? I’ve been debating between the two.
(NTTD one is super cool too, just re-watched that movie)
What’s the story on the Vacheron?
Depends on the occasion, I’m big into watches. For me:
Everyday/outdoor: Vacheron overseas or Czapek Antarctique
Dressy: Patek 5159 or ALS Lange 1
Most days, just less outdoor time (in office, walking around the city): ludovic ballouard upside down or Voutilainen Vignt 8
Wow, you have impressive tastes. As a person who clearly knows watches how is a Glashutte panomaticlunar viewed? Is this a respectable watch on its own or too much of a Lange 1 knockoff
They are excellent watches and I owned that exact one and loved it. Not seen as an “ALS knockoff” at least not by anyone who knows watches. I would say they are a “good value” relative to many brands out there.
Wow, what a collection! Czapek and Lange, really impressive. Would be a dream to wear any of those.
Wow—appreciate the Ludovic Ballouard education here. Sweet movement.
Wondering whether the Czapek is the drake one? If so how is the finishing? Have an opportunity to purchase for below retail
No it is the Antarctique. I would say the finishing overall is good, I like the watch but it isn’t my favorite. But I like what the brand does and how responsive they are to customers (even if they have been very slow on delivery).
Very impressive
This conversation sounds like the business card scene...
Cartier santos has been my favorite recently
Just curious, the newest santos-dumont or the older Santos 100?
Swatch Irony. It's a nostalgia piece.
Bought a Speedmaster. It has been a nice first watch, and it holds its own.
Longines Elegant or Apple watch
Tudor Pelagos 39
Recently got Tag Heuer Carrera and its amazing.
Grand Seiko SBGA 413 or Tissot PRX
Take ur pick…
When you own a freaking zeitwerk or PP perpetual calendar, why do you even bother with crap like Bell & Ross?
Because they are a lot of fun? I have watches from independents that make PP look like it was finished by 3 year old with a dremel and still have one.
Apple watch SE
Lange odysseus
How? What was your wait time to get this?
Managed to secure the waitlist during Covid period, when they were pretty desperate for cashflows (Had to buy a Lange 1 to secure the waitlist). Took around 6months for it to arrive (Received it Jun last year). To be clear this is the full steel model!
I have a decent sized collection but my VC Overseas and VC 1921 get the most wrist time.
Gold Rolex day date, Steel Sub, and Cartier Santos are my current rotation.
Still wear the same no date 114060 I bought with my signing bonus many years ago 75+ % of the time. Have a GO PanoMatic Lunar and mint green DJ I also wear from time to time but I still reach for the no date more than anything else.
Longines Hydroconquest and Nomos Ahoi neomatik. Looking to get the Omega Speedmaster Schumacher edition with the red dial next.
Rotate between the aquaterra, a datejust 41, carter tank and Tudor BB58. Looking to add a Lange to the collection next
Aquaterra was my first watch out of undergrad and still gets the most wrist time
DJ41 and Seamaster (which stays on rubber strap).
DJ41 was meant to be for special occasions (I know its not the dressiest watch) but once I put it on I couldn't take it off. Hoping to get a batgirl next.
Seamaster Aquaterra, Longines Presence, and JLC Master Ultrathin Moon
Really tinking of upgrading mine to a perpetual calendar...
moonswatch
Rolex Explorer 2 for me.
Fluted Wimbledon 41 DateJust
Tudor 1926 with leather strap.
Swap between Large Blue Cartier Santos and 41mm Wimbledon DJ
$200 Seiko I bought years ago. If I get something else it will probably be a Sub or Daytona, but honestly no real need to.
as a non watch person, all I see is some latin words lmaooo, yall are crazy elegant.
seiko 5
My current daily
that retrograde seconds is delicious. If only I had bigger wrists that can rock the Tradition - their straight lugs are just killing me
Pepsi GMT master II
LIP T18 Churchill. Fantastic and affordable alternative to the Cartier Tank
Rolex Smurf
FC, Nomos, JLC
Got the Tudor black bay 36 (oyster bracelet) 2 years ago. Works with everything, love it.
Garmin Fenix 7 pro sapphire
Was back and forth between “vintage” Breitling colt from late 90s (white face and silicon strap) in the summer and and O sea master 300. Got the ~finally~ updated air king after watches and wonders 2022 and havnt taken it off since
2nd year analyst in private equity
My go to is a Tudor Glamour Date Day. I also have a rolex oysterquartz that was my grandfathers that I’ll wear from time to time usually on special occasions.
Otherwise have a few citizen, timex, seiko watches that were all under $300.
Seiko Prospex SSC813 - Bought it as my first “real” / entry-level watch thinking I’d spend bigger money on a higher end piece a few years later. Since then it’s grown on me a lot, and I’ve come to love it. I actually don’t think I’ll drop those big bucks on another watch until at least a couple more years. The Seiko looks great, the solar-powered battery is somehow always charged (I’ve never had to make a conscious effort to charge it), and it’s frankly pretty durable. Definitely banged it up a few times and there’s hardly a scratch on it. Can’t recommend it enough for someone who wants to get into fine watches but isn’t ready to spend thousands.
White gold Cartier Cougar with factory diamond bezel
Four in regular rotation:
Panerai Luminor 1950
1980 - 16800 Rolex Sub
Bell & Ross br03-92 (this was a gift - is my sport / I don’t give a fuck watch)
Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A - special occasions
Submariner probably gets the most office use
I am also on the bigger side so the Panerai and B&R don’t look ridiculous.
Panerai Luminor Marina, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, Rolex Yachtmaster
Lorier Hyperion Skyward, bought it after finishing SA. Would love to own a GMT Master 2 someday
Lol a poster here has a decent breakdown of watch suggestions, see link:

Black 226570 Rolex Explorer 2. Such a charming watch. Never gets old to look at. Can take a beating. Looks elegant with any outfit.
Oyster perpetual cuz im perpetually fked by this job, might as well have a strap on tied to my chair
Patek 5236P
Patek 6119R
ALS Lange 1 Moonphase
Rolex “Cermit” Submariner
Grand Seiko “Autumn”
How much money you making bro… jeez
Movados, bulovas, Versace’s and Fergamos nothing crazy but I like them.
Picked up a Tudor Black Bay 36 in blue (the smiley version). Love the versatility of the piece and how it flies under the radar. It is also incredibly comfortable. Before the Tudor, I wore a black Bulova diver everyday that was gifted to me for ~4 years
I'll wait a few years for my next big purchase, but I'm thinking either a Cartier Tank or GO Panomatic. In the interim, I might look for a good deal on a vintage Omega, Junghans Max Bill, Baltic Aquascaphe, or a Nomos.
I just bought the BB54 for my wife, and love it. It's unbreakable so she will maybe not destroy it lol. Good pick on the Tudor!
The GO Panomatic is wicked. When I had a Lange 1 and a Panomatic Lunar at the same time, I never wore the Lange 1 and at current used prices, I'd take the GO all day > Lange.
Thanks! Love the BB54 / BB58 as well, but feel they're too similar to my BB36 to pickup anytime soon. I love ALS in general, especially the Lange 1 and the Saxonia Thin (the black and blue speckled dial ones are amazing). Don't know if I'm ever going to be able to save up for one so the GO is a perfect realistic goal (and a wonderful watch in its own right).
What do yall think of the white moonwatch?
Cartier Santos ADLC
Hi everyone, I wear an Apple Watch Series 9 and have been working in marketing for 5 years now. It's always interesting to see what watches different people choose!
