Advice on future employability

I have a question(s) regarding my current predicament. Coming out of high school I didn't have much aim in life and therefore was rather careless in choosing a major. I moved around a couple times, but ended up in my current position pursuing a BA in Finance in Agri-Business from a flagship state school (Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan etc). I'm currently a Junior and have a 3.65 GPA and good EC's and previous work experience (F100 FLDP internship which I plan on doing again upon my return from abroad). My questions is will the degree name hurt my chances of getting a job (not in IB but more so corp fin) and subsequently getting into a good B-School? I've had people tell me the "agri" name deters future employers, but I'd like to get a fresh perspective. It's been on my mind a lot and would really appreciate your guys' advice on what I can do to personally position myself better! Keep killin it boys.

I wouldn't advertise that I was majoring in Agri-Business. Just put Finance on your resume.

MM IB -> Corporate Development -> Strategic Finance

I wouldn't think so. Just so we're clear, you're pursuing a Finance IN Agri-Business degree? Not a Finance AND Agri-Business degree? Why Agri-Business?

MM IB -> Corporate Development -> Strategic Finance

Finance IN Agri-Business. In regards to classwork it's all the same topics and classes. In retrospect it would have been more beneficial to get the pre reqs and just join the Business School, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. The program has had strong job placement, even through the recession, and puts a lot of emphasis on having a strong international perspective (which enticed me). I guess I'm more so concerned that I've pigeon-holed myself. I really appreciate your advice, by the way.
