Thinking about transferring to McComb Business School *Need Advice/Answers*

Is the transfer from a super non target(in state/Florida) worth it to Mcombs College of Business if it is not Honors?
I will incur a bit more debt than I would staying in Florida. The only way this move will make financial since is if it will boost my chances of landing a job in IB or PE after graduation. I have a 3.8 GPA about to start my sophmore year. I won't be able to transfer until the spring semester of 2015.

Other things I would like to know that I couldn't ind the answer to are:

-Pay at boutique PE or IB shops in Texas? Is it comparable to the street?

From my research I would rather work for smaller firms with decent deal flow to get more responsibility when executing deals, and closer interaction with senior partners of the firm.

What are some respectable small shops that pay well in Texas? (outside of energy)

I'm not big on the energy industry because I don't have confidence in it in the long term. I am interested in the tech investment opportunities that Texas has to offer with the recent boom in tech start-ups.

How will joining the football team at UT help or hurt my chances of breaking in?

I successfully walked onto the football team at my current school, so I don't think it would be much of a difference at UT.

If you really want to go to UT and you're playing football for a comparable team in Florida, your first step should be to get Coach Strong on the phone.

Well I walked on at my current school, and got into a motorcycle accident half way through the season tearing acl and broken foot. I'm not going to be a a scholarship candidate right off the bat.

I would like my questions answered please.
