I interned in their team and I would say senior ppl are really nice and smart people (most of them are French btw). Juniors less so... (mostly American) but they are all super friendly. Didn't like the job itself but that's personal
What was comp?
I don’t know sorry - was just an intern. I think it is highly negotiable if you have a master or previous experience. I think minimum for analyst 1 was 110$ base but that seems to be the bare minimum to live in NY
Interested to know why didn’t you like the job?
Honestly i found it a lot less intellectually stimulating than traditional buy out. Also feared the exits would not be as good as IB so went with IB instead. But there’s a lot of $ to be made there for sure
Now that you are doing IB, what do you think of your decision going through with IB?
I never regretted it and now that I am looking at traditional buy out exits, I feel I am at advantage but that’s personal. If you don’t already have a specific career path in your mind, worth trying it
