Blackstone - UG Summer Intern
Do they even do this for Private Equity Division?
UG Class of 08 @ an Ivy here, with not so good gpa (3.6), but 2 previous internships. One at very good PE / alternative firm (they took 1/119 apps, will only hire full-time after 2+yrs BB experience though ), And the other in consulting.
From a Non-Core Ivy however, meaning no on campus recruitment, worth it to send a resume / CL? / Any chance?
you have nothing to lose
What Ivy are you from? BS has recruited at Harvard, Wharton, and Columbia.
Dartbutt
do you really not think 3.6 from ivy is a good gpa?
2 of the last 5 they hired. one wuz 3.95 Applied Mathematics at Harvard, the other Saludictorian of Wharton.
wow...a 3.6 is bad?
3.95 at harvard. that's pretty impressive.
does it help if your from stanford?
stanford is good. I should have gone there. I ended up going to an east coast school where I froze my **** off during the winter...
I've heard BS won't usually interview you unless you're gpa is above 3.8-3.9... they are just too small and have so few slots. that said, they get hundreds of 3.8-4.0's. So gpa is only 1 thing they look at.
Also, I don't really see the hype. Other places are just as good to start out... Goldman, Morgan.
lakerlax, I know a guy on your lacrosse team. Your initials aren't TM are they?
No, i don't play lax the name is totally random.
if your referring to tmac though, i know him well
Yep, that's him. Small world as they say.
