Bregal Unternehmerkapital

Hey Monkeys,

Got pinged for a potential process at Bregal Unternehmerkapital and wondered, if anyone had insights to share?

Seems to be a rather new fund, but has ramped up quite impressively in terms of fundraising and hiring.

Assume this is for Munich, CH, Italy office? Dont think they have an office in London.

Its a great fund, hands down. Constant growth in fund size, very good returns (mostly focussing on software these days), good comp, low turnover. People are top profiles if you look at their website.

This is for Munich/ Zug office indeed.

Thanks for sharing the insights! How would you say does it compare to the more established German MM funds? And also, I feel like Bregal is quite "hyped" these days, so would you say, that they have great long term potential, or is there a realistic risk of this hype going away?

It’s a DACH focused firm. Apparently lot of family owner firms there that only want to deal with people that look and act German.
