Canada doesn't have PE
I’m going to defend you here before you get ms. Yeah they do have PE because they are private funds but I get where you’re coming from. they’re not going to be exiting their investments within their portfolios, due to the economic nature of Canada. A PE firm in the US that emulate the Canadian PE investment style is shore capital in Chicago, as they tend to focus on micro cap investments and don’t hit their IRR targets through the exiting their investments.
Onex and Oncap both use CPI, Altas uses Amity - believe that both ONEX and Altas do on cycle, ONCAP and Altas do off cycle - not sure if ONEX does any off cycle
