Does this job rock or suck??
Gents, interviewing at a LMM for what is being described as a "research associate" role. Seems officially on the business development side, but with a focus on generating investment theses for the fund to pursue. No excel modeling, which I'm fine with. All-in comp is $180k, at most. Tier 2 city.
Have y'all heard of roles like this?? What are your thoughts? Wondering what career progression could look like. My background is as a stockpicker in AM, looking to transition into PE due to hitting a pay wall at my current fund.
Thank you, guys!
