Exit opps for Fund Marketing

Dear WSO,

I am a Marketing Analyst (age: 23) for a mid-market pan-Asian private equity firm (HQ in Hong Kong) assisting with PE fundraising. I have recently resigned from my position after 13 months as I did not enjoy the work I was doing and felt like I was dragging my feet to work everyday. What are the exit opportunities for this kind of role and how can i position myself to tackle these opportunities? Personally, i am very passionate about investments as well as starting my own business venture with a team.

In the interim whilst i look for another gig, I will be studying the CFA, GMAT, and will also try to execute my own start-up (which is a personal aspiration). Any advice for this chimp? Feeling a little lost.

Thanks all.
