GA Buyouts?
Does anyone have insights on GA’s buyout efforts? Haven’t seen much besides the recent hire (just last year) of Durham from Silver Lake. Will associate hires be generalist or segmented into buyout and growth?

From what I've seen and heard I think that they strongly prefer taking minority stakes (a la traditional GE) and do not have a separate buyout team. That is, if you go to GA you will be a GE analyst / associate and may happen to work on a buyout.
