Going into Corp Dev

If I'm interested in eventually ending up in some sort of corporate development/strategy role, is it worth it to go into PE for 2 years after my IB role?

Or should I attempt to move directly from IB into corp dev, bypassing the typical 2 year PE stint?

Since I'm in a tech-focused IB group, I'm interested in a corporate dev role at specifically some sort of tech company, maybe even FAANG if possible. How feasible is this?
