IB->PE->HBS/Stanford

I'm going to start working for a MM private equity group in July and wanted to know your thouhts on what I can do on the job to improve my chances to get into HBS/Stanford. I am working on the other stuff (e.g. GMAT, ec, etc.), but would appreciate any concrete thoughts or experiences that would help me boost my chances for business school. Have any of you noticed any trends with associates who make it to HBS/Stanford and those that don't? My private equity group has a decent track record, but not 100% to HBS/Stanford.
