Interview Financial Analyst at Partners Group AG

Hello,

Has anyone ever interviewed with Partners Group before ? Do you have any feedback regarding the recruitement process? They told me it is going to last 5 hours and I am going to meet 5 different people. There is also a 90 min case study....what does this involve? Is it a financial modeling test or a strategy business case ?

Partners Group is a PE firm bases in Switzerland (primaries, secondaries, direct investments)

Thanks a lot,

Wilhelm.

why didnt you ask them about what kind of case studies these are in your initial interview? i would assume it would somewhat relate to your role. what are the responsibilities of this 'financial analyst' position? and when is your interview?

Thanks for your answer!

I have already got an interview with them. I asked them some informations about the case study but they said me they are not allowed to say me anything.

This is kind of graduate program with different job eposures within the different business fields of the company. PG is a private equity firm wich invests in private equity, debt, real estate and infrastructure.

As far as i am concerned I am specialised on real estate investments. When I have interviews in pe fund, I am usually asked to analyse a given investment opportunity and realise a financial BP on excel. But the point is that PG is also recruiting people who work in strategy consulting companies (BCG, etc.) and I guess they might be given strategy business cases (those guys can't be given financial modelling tests)! Do they give the same kind of case studies to everybody or do they adapt depending on who is interviewed ?

My interview is in 2 weeks.

Willhelm,

I have mine next week, will you be able to share your experience.

Bumping. Interviewed recently. Next round includes in-office case study. This is for their NYC mezz business

Can anyone share experiences? Any idea how they structure their cases?

I did just a couple of phone interview (in 2012 and 2015) for roles at their Swiss HQ, they gave me the typical cold Swiss impression. Demanding as you may expect from a firm in this field. I don't remember that much, just an out of the blue "how would you value the gas station near your house, given that it's not listed and you don't have any access to the financial statements? You have 24 hours". Luckily the phone interview began with a reassuring "this is just an introduction, we won't go too much in depth". I see... I did some research and asked to peers, they are a great company to work for. That's all I know.
