Is PE boring?

Climbing up the corporate ladder your whole career while analyzing established companies that make niche chemicals or others that provide data to midwestern farmers. Is this an accurate representation of PE or am I completely incorrect?

LMM PE at senior level is basically a simulation game IRL. Super interesting, you have a real impact on the strategy of the companies you are invested in and get to meet passionate people. Depends on the fund obviously as some are completely hands-off. Have to love networking and sourcing deals however which is not everyone's cup of tea.

Interesting at junior level but I would rather go to IB to benefit from structured formation and gain experience
