I know people get mad when others try to rank BBs or EBs and there’s usually never a consensus outside the top 3.
That being said, I’ve never seen any MFPE rankings. Is this because they are all on the same level? Or are people just satisfied with any MFPE shop considering the difficulty of the recruiting process?
I’m not asking for rankings. I just want to here thoughts on some of the top shops for specific groups/strategies.

Hopefully this helps. I work at a MF. No one gives a shit or further respects or looks down on anyone at ANY PE fund, regardless of whether we are looking at WP as a competitor or some 200M fund we're competing with for a bolt-on. The obsession with finding the most prestigious fund to work at is generally silo'd to this site or with shitty finance dudes who wasted college trying to show how "banker" they were with their "sick" vests etc. I'm super into fashion so all that is laughable to me but my point is that after you start your first year in banking, no one gives a flying fuck

So does that mean mm pe will have similar exits and stuff to MFs in reality? Can you give a little more of ur perspective on pe roles at boutique or mm firms vs MF?
My perspective was geared towards on the job type of feeling. We never look unfavorably (or in a condescending manner) in a process at a fund which this site deems "less prestigious". More real life context than comparing PE roles at different sized firms.
To your later question, you'll be more of a processor at a MF hence the "banking 2.0" moniker with potential to work on a transformative PE deal or not close anything for your entire career there; MM PE will probably give you an experience with more execution of both platforms and bolt-ons and some portco management; boutique idk
