PE Recruiting on H1B
Currently an international student starting FT at a BB this July. Firm sponsored me for H1B this year and I was fortunate to be selected, but I'm wondering about the best way to strategize my work authorization keeping STEM OPT and PE recruiting in mind.
From what I've heard from HHs, H1B really opens things up for me recruiting-wise, but I'd like to maximize the time I'm allowed to work with my current status as well. Does anyone have experience with consular processing and "delaying" going on H1B until OPT runs out?
Separately, do firms care about filing for an H1B extension (which I'd have to do with my next employer)?
