Searchlight Capital Partners

I've looked through the posts on this site and others, and it seems like the consensus (as of 2015 - 2017) was that it's a good fund, but absolutely terrible work-life balance.

Curious if the balance has gotten better in recent years. Would appreciate any insight, thanks.

Know someone who worked there. Heard the fund has done well since 2017 and culture may not have changed, but would like more insight from someone works there now or has more info.

Thanks

Have a friend who works there - terrible work culture but that's to be expected at "value-oriented / creative structure / turnaround style" PE funds, comp was noticeably lower relative to similar-sized funds.

I'm personally unsure on Associate / Principal exits as well, I just haven't looked at them and tracked.

Thanks for the feedback. Do they compensate better with carry to offset? Or were you referring to all-in?
