I went through it a year or two ago and it was pretty straightforward. Met with Associates / Sr. Associates and then VPs / Principals and the head of the team I was interviewing for, Software and Tech. A few technicals throughout but nothing too difficult and a timed / proctored modeling test setup by Opus which was pretty comprehensive. Ultimately declined the offer due to wanting a different geo. Despite the firm’s reputation as being sweaty, I genuinely liked everyone I met with but have heard some seniors are assholes, so it’s likely a mixed bag. Very much following the GTCR DNA with their approach to investing and have had some successful outcomes but I think recent performance has been just okay. Someone else may have more updated info though. If you know the standard accounting technicals with maybe some nuances with deferred revenue, you’ll be okay. Don’t want to give much about the modeling test away but you’re essentially given a bunch of company info and have to put together a model and answer a few questions on the business.
