Why No LMM PE Analyst Programs in London???? (vs Paris)
Hello everyone,
I was thinking about my career options and realized that if I wanted to start out in London, I'd have to go into investment banking anyway, as there are very few private equity analyst programs (only 5/10 places per year offered by the biggest funds).
I was wondering Why doesn't any LMM PE company offer an analyst program in London, when many firms do in Paris (Capza, Naxicap, Andera, Siparex, etc.)?
These programs are actually good alternatives to the traditional IB route, as you work 40-50h/week and start as an An1 with a €65-80k package: 50k base + 10-20k bonus + 5-10k "intéressement". In addition you benefit from carried interest (hard to quantify).
Does anyone have insights on this?
you can try cold emailing for internship, and convert that to full time
But wen you look at these UK LMM PE teams, there aren’t any current Analysts anyway, so no point trying to convert an internship. You know they only take Associates with 2/3 years of IB
Not LMM per se but are multiple analysts at Towerbrook and Oakley for example who started off as interns
