Comp Baby!!
any idea what 2nd year analyst comp for a major brokerage shop in a major market should be? additionally, any advice on how to go about asking for a raise?

JLL was 65k out of undergrad and it didn’t move your second year. Maybe slightly. You had to rely on being in the pool at that point and closing more deals as a solo analyst. Meaning you’re also working more. It sucked
so youre saying being in the pool is more beneficial that being a solo analyst?
Hard to say. Solo analyst for a rainmaker? You could touch stupid high comp numbers (I’ve personally seen $400k+). There are some small pools that pay massive numbers but most analyst pools will range anywhere between $90-200k TC depending on YOE.
The nightmare situation would be a solo analyst for a group with low fees, if this even really exists.
Even as an associate there isn’t a meaningful jump in comp. They expect most analyst to leave and so are fine paying below market. Wouldn’t recommend.
