NMRK Rapid Broker Growth
See that the group is constantly in the press for adding new producers, but have checked the job boards a few times and there’s very few JR level positions open. Anyone have any insights into what is going on over there? Have heard that analysts, associates and admins are being worked to the bone. Curious cause there may be an opp for me in their NYC/Boston office but not trying to go somewhere else thats also understaffed…
Company is top heavy. Probably not the best spot to be if you’re a young broker trying to grow. Company is cool if they pay you a few $MM to move over there.
Ya makes sense, understand that it’s basically a free for all over there too given no where near as much structure as a JLL/ CB
It’s a brokerage. They are going to add senior talent because that is who controls the revenue. Junior brokers are an expense until they produce. And junior brokers are recruited when senior brokers need someone under them and are growing their team. Otherwise, the brokers generally don’t have a structured recruiting and training process.
Workload under a senior broker is going to be dependent on who you work under. If there isn’t much business, or the senior doesn’t share business with you, it won’t be crazy hours. If they bring you into everything they do, plus you are expected to source your own business, it’ll be busy. But frankly, option 2 is the best option. It grinds you but teaches you and hopefully you get paid fairly for the work to stay afloat until you have your own book of business
