Real Estate Capital Markets role

Hello all, I’ve been working as an underwriter for both CRE debt and equity for the past ~5 years at a sizable real estate shop with ~$30-40bn AuM and based in NYC. I’ve been very involved in helping out the CRE Capital Markets team a lot on putting together deal teaser/leverage package, leverage onboarding /closing, leverage pricing tracker, leverage sourcing and levered return analytical work. I think I can totally go out there and look for a full time role in real estate capital markets. Been thinking about shots like Starwood, Carlyle, Blackstone, KKR, Nuveen, Invesco, Ares. Any other companies I can look at that may have an in house capital markets team?
What’s the hours like? From 9am -7pm? And minimal work over the weekend (of course except deal deadline)? What’s the market base and bonus if I target VP/Sr. Assoc role? Thanks.

When transitioning to a full-time role in real estate capital markets, consider companies like Brookfield Asset Management, Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing, Goldman Sachs Real Estate Principal Investment Area, and others. Work hours typically range from 9 am to 7 pm with minimal weekend work, except during deal deadlines. Compensation for VP/Sr. Associate roles varies based on factors like experience and company. Research specific companies and engage with professionals in the field for accurate and up-to-date information. Good luck with your job search!
