Does on severance mean I am technically still employed

updating my résumé after layoffs and just trying to understand if I am still getting severance payments, am I technically still employed with my former employer since? Trying to figure out what to put on my résumé and job application for last date? Thank you.

Yes the date of your last paycheck is what to put on your resume, even if you stopped going to work beforehand

That said I would just rip the bandaid off and be clear in your resume you're not there anymore. Some teams are just weird and will ding you for it, so might as well not waste your time telling everyone in first rounds that you're not working there and explaining it to someone who thought otherwise. If you are upfront on your resume, you can address it quickly without it being a surprise and then just move on

the last paycheck? I am still getting paychecks for severance pay right now for another two months. Does this mean I’m still employed there? also does this mean that it doesn’t show up publicly on the U4 or broker check that I've already been let go?

Sorry I haven't even started looking yet. Still at the resume stage
