Applying to LBS MFA without gmat but CFA 1 over the 90th percentile?

Hi, I am wondering if there’s a chance of getting accepted by lbs mfa without doing the gmat. I currently have the cfa 1 and approved over the 90th percentile, over a year of interships experience and a full time job on a new fund in my country (peru), my gpa is aprox 3.75 converted on a engineering background.

Thanks

You do know that under the ethical code of conduct of the CFA, you are not allowed to disclose your 'percentile' as these are not official rankings (I find it pretty hilarious).

@artur17777" EDIT: Someone that did CFA told me this, as the CFA only gives a pass or fail result, using a specific percentile is not allowed. However, after doing some research myself, you can put it, in the end it is a statement of a fact, see link

Sorry for going off-track, I am not really answering your intial question here. Personally, I would say a GMAT is still very much required.

Really?? What do you mean it is not official rankings? I don't remember anything about this in ethics even though i scored way above 90% percentile in ethics lol...

Bragging about CFA scores is like bragging about your score on the written portion of your drivers exam.

You are not allowed to tell anyone about the exam you took, however the percentile line is on your exam results and they encourage you to put it on your cfa lv 1 badge.

I know someone who did LBS with CFA1 and no GMAT. Just keep in mind that there are more important factors the admissions committee looks at when assessing your application i.e. quality of work experience. A 700+ on gmat / CFA 1 are needed to tick one of many boxes. A very strong GMAT 730+ can indeed make your application stand out. Not sure a ‘high pass’ would have the same effect however...
