Bachelor of Business Management or Bachelor of Commerce?

I'm unsure of studying either the Bachelor of Business Management or Bachelor of Commerce.

The University I am attending is the 3rd best university in Australia. University of Queensland.

I am looking to get into Asset Management, Private Equity or Real Estate Investing.
After University I want to attend an MBA program in America hopefully at Stanford, Columbia, Yale or Harvard.
I know what you're thinking "Good luck trying for those MBA programs." ;)

The Business Management has these degree Majors to choose from:
Advertising
Business Economics
Business Information Systems
Human Resources
International Business
Marketing
Real Estate and Development
Sustainability

While the Bachelor of Commerce only has these degree majors:
Accounting
Business Information Systems
Finance

Both degrees teach finance, accounting and economics as part of the core components for the degree(s).
I'm leaning towards Bachelor of Business Management and majoring in either Business Economics, International Business or Sustainability .

Would this be a good choice for someone looking to get into Asset Management,Private Equity or Real Estate Investing then studying at an American Ivy league MBA Program?

my two cents is that nobody cares to your depth. No one for MBA admissions will spend more than 5 seconds on your major, except to mark the checkbox for a business degree. what matters more to you is how to signal yourself for strong employments before realizing MBA opportunities. if you have advertising major and you want to work PE, I think you could use little of that degree except the selling yourself part,

Thank you for your answering it was really insightful. So you're saying that the degree doesn't matter to get into an MBA program but employability after the MBA will be based on my bachelor degree and Masters is this correct? Would the Business Economics major be a solid choice since it covers finance and is a business major?

exactly. top MBA graduates come from the most diverse backgrounds but have nearly an 100% employment rate, and they don't want the numbers to go down because of admitting less employable candidates.

how can I suggest "solid choice" when I don't know what your criteria are?
