Current Stern student here. Both programs are solid and will give you a good chance at IB. I'd say it comes down to whether your end goal is to end up in NY or CA. There are some people from Berkeley that get spots in NY, but NYU will give you a much better shot if that's what you want.

It also depends on how much debt you would have to take on for NYU. If it's vastly more then Berkeley could be the move

NYU might have a better IB pipeline but everyone there seems extremely weird and there’s no campus at all. Should both be considered when choosing a college bc lifestyle and fun matter a lot. Btw I don’t go to either of these schools but honestly would do cal j because NYU seems like it sucks for social scene

When you say the whole class is getting cooked what are you referring to? Is the course difficult or is it just hard to break into banking.

I go to nyu and if you’re good at making friends charismatic and know how to move then nyc is basically your playground. I would seriously describe it as Disneyland for young adults. However if you are socially retarded it will not be fun

Berkeley for west coast, NYU (esp Stern) for east coast. Would add VC/GE shops may favor Berkeley. Everything else is frankly splitting hairs
