Cal Poly SLO vs UC Irvine

hey guys, looking for opinions for a younger friend here! He would study business at both schools - realize that both are nontargets for banking but am thinking that SLO will offer a better lifestyle. irvine’s business program is ranked higher, but my thoughts are that it wouldn’t even matter given that both schools are nontargets anyways. would love to hear your guys’ thoughts on which school you would choose to maximize lifestyle/fun college experience/career opportunities! thanks

From california (but went to school in east coast so have no bias) but thought that general perception is UCI > Cal Poly SLO in terms of “prestige” no? I know SLO has a really good engineering program but for all else would expect UCI to be better. Can’t speak for campus life but UCI seemed fine.

Both business school are irrelevant (no offense) and you’ll need to hustle a lot for IB
