ESCP MiF (2y) vs Imperial MSc F&A (1y)

Background:

  • 23 years old. Brazilian-French student at a French BBA (edhec/essec)

  • 2 summers in VC/PE at small unknown firms in Europe

Short-term goal:

  • Growth/TMT IB/Tech IB in London or Paris (no preference)

Long-term goal:

Imperial Pros: London visa ; Global brand name ; Semi-Target in London ; Better brand name in LaTam?

ESCP Pros: 2y with a 6 months off cycle in between ; Target in Paris ; Easier to get into a BB/Growth Fund in Paris from ESCP than the same in London from Imperial

Additionally, I’m considering a top MBA (US/INSEAD) in 5-years time to transition to emerging markets.

Which program is the best? Thanks!

How is Imperial's reputation in Paris? Will it hurt me compared to ESCP?

Imperial is clearly a stronger brand name and would put you in a different bracket if you consider doing a top MBA afterwards

Easier to get into a BB/Growth Fund in Paris from ESCP than the same in London from Imperial

Wouldn't assume that. A BBA + MiF student is clearly not in a favourable position to join a BB in Paris (unless female), while I have countless examples in London from Imperial or LSE Masters.

Would do ESCP to build up CV, good luck getting top BB with nothing on CV
