Florida State University for undergrad

Will I have a good shot at a top MBA program after going to FSU for undergrad? Assuming my stats are pretty good, 3.75+ GPA, 700+ GMAT, and 5 years work exp., can I be competitive at top MBA programs?

I'm still in undergrad at a state school (ranked a bit higher than FSU), but i know plenty of alunmi who have gone to top MBA programs. I think the biggest factor will be the quality of your work experience, if you have GPA & GMAT competitive enough. Again this is not from experience but rather from what I've been told..

Fact of the matter is with hard work you can get to Goldman, McKinsey, Blackstone, you name it right after undergrad. You think Wharton is the only place that can get you there and you go there and you may find yourself just a mid-tier student there and you will not get many interviews. On the same token, you can go to Florida State and be the top guy at the school and get whatever you want. Point is go to whatever school you like the people and that you can see yourself enjoying, don't go to the school that is most likely to get you a Harvard MBA or Goldman out of undergrad. What is wrong with people today?

Get a 4.00 (no B's...not 3.97),,, blow away your peers, intern PWM freshman year, Boutique Soph, BB Junior...Start working at a BB after your senior year.

Why not? Uni of Georgia placed a guy at Lehman Bros', he was a univ scholar, double degree, 4.0, complete badass. Model yourself on this guy.

Then get your Duke MBA, or UC Berk MBA.
