For MBA and breaking into IBD: PM or Compliance
Hi! I am going to graduate from college very soon, and I am deciding between two offers: one is a project manager role at a large healthcare IT company, the other is a compliance rotational program at one of the BBs. My ultimate goal is to apply to MBA programs, then break into IBD. Which role will give me the best outcome? I generally think the PM role can give me more independent project leading experience, and the role may give me some exposure to healthcare since I am interested in healthcare IB. The compliance role is in the finance industry, and I may be able to internally move a little bit (the bank is proud of its great internal mobility but I don't know if that is true). Thoughts?
You can work in back office, and still land at a top business school. Nobody really cares. Other things need to stand out tho
