Career Resources
Student at Emory that recruited and landed offer at BB/EB. Here’s my objective stance:
Almost every IB placement is within the realm of possibility; no one will frown at an Emory resume and an Emory student that networked will receive at least an interview everywhere (with a strong resume). Specifically have strong networks at EBs like LAZ, CVP, GHL.
In terms of how competitive it is in the B School: very. Most will agree it’s pretty toxic, but that’s the name of the game at each school. You will need to stand out among the group. But everyone lands a role somewhere in the end.
Emory University is recognized for its strong placement in investment banking (IB) and buyside roles, making it a standout choice for students aiming for careers in high finance. Here's a detailed breakdown based on the WSO Dataset:
Placement into IB and Buyside Roles:
Competitiveness of Recruiting:
In summary, Emory's strong focus on finance and its successful placement record in IB and buyside roles make it an attractive option for students pursuing careers in these fields. The competitive nature of recruiting in these sectors is mitigated by the university's comprehensive preparation and support for its students.

Can confirm what the above poster highlighted - The school got a strong network across all BBs (slightly less so at MS, not sure why) and EBs (with a particular focus on CVP/LAZ/GHL).
