Incoming Finance Student at Target School looking for advice
Title says most of it but yes, I am an incoming freshman to a target school studying business with concentrations in both finance and economics along with computer science. Recently, I've been lurking on the forums but I'm still confused as to how to go about the IB/Hedge Funds pathway. As of right now, I have very strong soft skills and technical skills in SQL, Python, Microsoft Office, and some other programming languages but I need some advice as to what more skills I should learn and what more opportunities I should look into. I have also done JP Morgan's Investment Banking Virtual Experience if that helps in any way. My goal is to break into a BB bank so any advice is greatly appreciated!
I would consider dropping computer science so that it's easier to maintain a high gpa. You can learn the necessary skills without it anyways.
Since you are in a target just make sure to follow in campus recruiting events, get a high gpa and network. Look polished etc.
