INSEAD MIM, Bocconi-China MIM, ESCP MIM, EDHEC MIM Financial Economics

Hi everyone,

I am an italian third year undergrad student at Bocconi. I will graduate this summer in the BSc in International Economics and Finance and I am interested in starting a career either in IB (M&A or ECM) or PE. Considering that I would like to work outside of Italy (at least when entering the job market) preferably in Switzerland or London, which of the above programs should I go for? (I have an offer from each of them)

I have very limited work experience (no big names nor small names on my CV) so I know I need to get some good internships. Also I think I need to get some additional international exposure since I did not get the chance to do it during my bachelor's because of the pandemic. Money is not an issue, I just want to make the best choice regardless of the price tag.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If I was in your shoes, where is going to offer me the best chance at an internship given that is one of your concerns. Length helps, INSEAD being a shorter program may not work to your advantage in that regard. Similarly, I am not sure how China MIM places into London/Switzerland compared to the normal MIM or MSc Fin.

I'm curious why you also do not consider ESSEC, HEC, or any UK schools.

Thanks for your answer hutcointraders.

Don't you believe that despite INSEAD being the shorter program it would be the best choice given that I would be able to take advantage of their name, career service and networking opportunities to try to leverage my way into IB/PE?

Coming to your curiosity, I did consider UK schools but I just though my profile was not good enough and the same goes for HEC and ESSEC. A mistake I deeply regret now.
