Is Georgetown really a target??

I'm trying to decide if I should go to Georgetown or other schools on its level (Ross, ND, UVA, Brown), and looking at GU's finance club members (GUSIF, GUASFCU) on LinkedIn, I can't find any actually good placement into MF PE. I see people going to "Blackstone" but into back-office-esque groups there, compared to good placement I see from these other schools clubs. Reading WSO, most people would say that Georgetown is better than any of these schools, but I'm becoming skeptical. If Georgetown is a target, where can I actually see it for myself?

Please don’t turn this into ND vs Georgetown v2, I’m looking for genuine advice.

Coming here from the cancerous thread. Some over there seem to think that it isn’t a target and that their placement is only at solid-good IB firms (BofA, PWP) rather than elite programs like BX, since their students are known for being sweaty, not smart.

Ok buddy in that case it should be super easy for you to answer this question

Know someone who wasn’t in any of those bs clubs and they got cvp and PJT m&a at Georgetown

Current Georgetown student here. What you are saying about MF PE is correct - we're not known as a buy side school. That being said, I do know people going to KKR PE as well as growth equity shops like Insight. Georgetown's strength lies in its placement for IB, where we have kids going to almost every BB/EB every year. At the end of the day, if you're good enough Georgetown won't hold you back
