Lying about university year in applications?

Is there any way a company can verify university year in an application? I'm a first year and want to apply to some second year internships for companies I don't want to work for long term, but will learn a lot from (e.g. Audit).

I don't think this is ok. You'll be taking the postion away from someone who genuinely wants it. I get it, you need to look out for you, but I still hate this idea, especially in the current market.

HR teams may well ask for items like school certificates (A-level certificates or a proof of being a student at your current university) before extending an offer. I don't know whether this is a policy at all banks, but it certainly is at quite a few, especially the larger and more organized ones.

The world does not operate on whats okay and whats not okay

Every job, house, car, woman you want there's hundreds of other men competing for

OP, you have the right idea but you are going about it the wrong way.
