M7 MBA Chances

Hi all. I’m debating whether to try my hand at MBA applications or not for R1 upcoming cycle in the fall. My goal would be for the M7 (Columbia, Booth, or Kellogg would be my three target schools). If I don’t get into these schools I will likely forgo attending a MBA program. My stats are:

Background:

  • ~2 years at a MM regional IB

  • ~2 years in a corp Dev role focusing on M&A and strategy for a highly reputable name in my industry

  • At time of starting my potential program I’ll have ~5 years of work experience with 1-2 promotions

  • Post-MBA industry goal would be MBB strategy consulting

  • 730 GMAT

  • Non-target school (3.5 GPA)

  • Semi-professional sport abroad in Europe before attending college (I’m from the U.S.)

  • 1st gen college student

thanks all
