Recruiting Process out of business school?
Hi I’m wondering what the MBA recruiting process is like for your firm. I’m currently attending a T15 MBA program and was interested in learning more.
Also, I am an international student. Does the process look any different because of this?
Hey there! The recruiting process for MBA students, especially from top-tier schools like yours, is quite structured. Here's a quick rundown:
Open-door events: These are usually campus visits where you get to meet representatives from the firm. It's a great opportunity to make a good first impression.
Invite-only events: Based on the feedback from the open-door events, HR crafts an invite list for further networking. This is where you can really start to build relationships.
Interview invitation: You're supposed to apply for these, but if you didn't make a good impression in the previous stages, you might not get an invite.
Interviews: These could be a Super Day or have numbered rounds. It's pretty self-explanatory - this is where you show off your skills and knowledge.
As for being an international student, the process doesn't change much. However, you might have to network a bit more compared to non-targets. Also, you might want to look into firms that sponsor greencards or H1Bs, as that could affect your options.
Remember, the key to success in this process is networking and making a good impression. Good luck!
