MSc in Finance: Bocconi vs ESSEC
Hi everyone,
I have been admitted to Bocconi and ESSEC for a Master of Science in Finance. At ESSEC I have been admitted to the two-year program, because I hold a 3-year Bachelor's degree. I am italian and I speak also English and French. I have done a 6-month internship, but I don't have any finance experience.
I would like to work in Investment Banking at the beginning, and later on in Private Equity. Anyway, as I said, I have little work experience, so this is just an idea.
How do these two programs compare? Which one would you choose in my situation?
What is relevant to me: reputation, placement opportunities, career prospect
What is NOT relevant to me: tuition fees, campus/countryside vs city (Cergy vs Milan), future job location
Thanks a lot!
Bocconi will place better in EU IB (perhaps except Paris) so take that.
I have been admitted to the same programmes this year. In my opinion, it is not even a question: Bocconi wins hands down! (better placement in London, the alumni network is broader, especially in Ldn, and the programme is more rigorous (although the 1st year seems to be outrageously tough). Moreover, considering the not so relevant experience, the fact that you can carry out a Summer internship between the two years is a big plus.
