Question about INSEAD program - on PE post-MBA, recruiting and timing (Sept vs. Jan)
I was looking around a couple threads that mentioned INSEAD is great for consulting and private equity. I can understand there being a lot of recruitment opps to consulting post-MBA, but for PE - typically in US the move to post-MBA PE usually happens for people who had pre-MBA PE experience.
So for INSEAD's PE recruitment - is this the same case? Or are there a fair bit of instances where someone from a banking or consulting background can move to PE after INSEAD?
Also, with a 1-year MBA program - how would internships work? And is it better to join during the January intake or September intake?
Thanks!
If you want an internship you should do the January intake at INSEAD.
As for PE, INSEAD places well with the big European firms, but the majority of them worked at those firms before coming to school. Going from banking/consulting to PE is going to be extremely difficult.
