RSM MSc Finance & Investments VS Bocconi MSc Finance - Final Decision !!
Im accepted in both. I paid Bocconi's deposit and RSM are still waiting for me to show up. I'm still extremely confused over which program to pick. RSM accepted me in Dec (lmao). Bocconi accepted me around 7 weeks ago after retaking GMAT. I have tuition waiver from both schools (though in RSM I'd pay more for accommodation, but that's not an issue) and am totally indifferent about which city to live in. IB as a 1st pick for career choice, but I'm far from an IB or bust person. I'd be also content with AM or ER, all in London of course. I have one internship (6 months) at a small boutique, which is my biggest challenge. What do you guys thinks I should go with?
For Bocconi:
pros:
- 2-years program - meaning two years of applications.
- Relatively lower living expenses
- Academically rigorous, something I'm growing more passionate about
- Much bigger alumni network in London
- Excellent Financial Clubs/Capital Market associations
cons:
- Given my age (higher than average), 2 years is probably not a good look
- Competition for career placement is going to be hard
For RSM
pros:
- 1 year program. Saw a good chunk on LinkedIn convert from their 1st summer internship
- Rotterdam is English-centric. I don't have to worry about communicating w/ people, and could try my luck with part-time internships
No cons here, I suppose.
Appreciate any help. Thanks everyone!
I hope someone chimes in to help, but would you mind sharing your profile? I got to Bocconi MSc management but they didn't give me scholarships
Well, hard choice both are really good. If you are a slightly old "24 and older", then there is no interest for you to do a two year program. In that case, go to RSM. Great university with a good brand reputation.
