UCLA Anderson MBA - IBD recruitment?

Does anyone have any familiarity with the MBA program at UCLA Anderson? What is the investment banking recruiting like out of the program? Do top BBs recruit associates for their West Coast offices from UCLA, or is it more regionals? Do they recruit more for LA or SF? How is the name recognition in NYC and on Wall Street?

About 11% of the class (~35) goes into investment banking (CorpFin/M&A) and all BBs recruit on-campus for summers/FT. BB/MM banks split into about 70%/30% of all hires. Offers tend to be 25-35% NYC, 10% overseas, with the rest split between LA/SF. LA and SF tend to trade off who takes more from year to year. Opportunities are good in both areas for Anderson MBAs. While name recognition is stronger on West Coast, NYC alumni are definitely supportive during recruiting/DOJ. I received offers from both West Coast and NYC.

old thread but, i know first hand that UCLA MBA program places very well, same banks/firms as the undergrad receives for OCR

all BBs in LA/SF w/potential for NY, all MM in LA/many SF and many of the elite boutiques (ex- Moelis, Lazard etc.)

I don't throw darts at a board. I bet on sure things. Read Sun-tzu, The Art of War. Every battle is won before it is ever fought- GG

Rookie here with a noob question.

For associate roles, do BBs only consider people with prior IB experience?

Nope, but it may help.

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.

People with all sorts of backgrounds and years of work experience are able to get accepted to Anderson. Definitely if you have significant IB or consulting experience, I think that would qualify for acceptance.

Former analyst at my firm landed an internship with PIMCO and also had interviews with Capital Group and a few HFs
