USC Marshall vs. WashU Olin
Hello, I'm currently trying to determine where to go for my undergrad. Currently, I'm most interested in management consulting, and these are my top 2 choices but I still have some questions. I'm also currently leaning towards USC, because I was invited to the Global Leadership Program (from what I've heard you get to hear from guest lecturers every week and have the opportunity to interview for an international internship). Is it more challenging to go into consulting from USC because there's a larger student body?
For reference, cost of attendance is pretty similar for both schools. I was also accepted to UCLA, Boston University (presidential scholarship), and BC Carroll, but I've heard they don't place as well with IB or consulting. If anyone happens to have any advice concerning these options I'd also be happy to hear it.
Thank you very much, any advice and insight is appreciated.
Olin/WashU (some weren’t in the business school) placed 20+ kids in MBB post-grad roles from the class of ’22 (across all offices). Heard it offers a ton of resources (career center, clubs, etc) that help with resume review, casing, interview prep, and the like which helps a ton.
Can’t speak to how USC Marshall places, but for ~200 students per class Olin does pretty well. Going to school in St. Louis is a drawback IMO though.
Thank you for the advice. That's the thing I'm trying to figure out, it seems much harder to find Marshall's undergraduate placement data. I toured USC's campus and definitely liked it a lot, but I just wanted to know how significant the difference was in career readiness, if any, between them.
