Which MSF can/should I target?

Hi all,

I have been looking for a finance related position in the US (working in this country has been a goal for me for a long time now) and unfortunately I found it really difficult as a foreigner to get a legitimate offer. I graduated from one of the top business school in my country (Management Master degree) and worked FT in PE Financial services (also two internships in M&A and hedge fund - none at well known institutions especially for Americans).

I am now considering getting into a US university to do a one year MS in Finance, graduate and get OPT in order to finally start a career in the USA. Preferably an STEM degree to get the extension. But I find it quite difficult to find which university provides with the best degree to ensure I'll easily land a job in my preferred industry afterwards - ideally I'd like to work in PE (first choice) or IB after I graduate. It seems a lot of the reasoning to choose between two good universities end up being geographical preferences (which I don't have) or price (roughly similar before getting a scholarship offer).

As such, I'd like to know if based on the information provided you could help me narrow down the most appropriate programs to target? I scored 720 on the GMAT (V:41, Q:47, IR:8), 100 TOEFL iBT (although more than 2 years ago, would be great to get that requirement waived). I reached out to some universities beforehand (Perdue and Indiana University) and both seem very interested. I will also reach out to Vanderbilt later today. Are those good fits for my career plan or should I target "more prestigious" ones? Which criterions would you base your decision on?

Thanks for your help
