Why does it cost so fucking much?

I'm looking into some MSc Finance programs at top UK universities - Since that's where I'm from and would love to do some time back over there - but every bloody university charges a ridiculous price for their programs, for example Oxford want 30K GBP, Imperial seem to want 23K Cambridge are the only ones who charge less but even then it's a lot more expensive than the other programs.

Just look at this link:

http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/pgprospectus/whatcanyo…

Every course is around 3K and then all of a sudden if it has the word 'finance' the price goes up 7 fold.......can anyone explain wtf is happening here?

Supply and demand issues. Few unis with "pedigree", loads of qualified candidates chasing those MSc Finance.

If you are British you would do well looking at Europe: Rotterdam, St. Gallen, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Stockholm... they have very good masters in finance ranging from 0 to a couple of thousand euros. Education is free for European nationals in Northern Europe.

Having said that, you won't be able to brag much if you didn't go to Oxbridge.
