Opportunities in the world of Equity Structuring

Hi peeps,
I am a first year analyst in the world of equity exotics structuring. Its a nice field for a fresher to understand the world of derivatives but I am worried if this job has any long term career prospects, especially when compared to more sought after jobs like equities Sales and trading. Can anyone please guide me on this role? Very few people seem to discuss this here (or anywhere).
Also I would like to know about any exit opportunities out of this role.
TIA.

Do they count as trading? Might be the issue that no one has experience.

When I think of structured products I think of things that rip off less sophisticated investors and sap away returns or give them risks they don’t understand.

Hi, I was in exo EQD myself and can talk from a more trading point of view. I think that structuring is incredibly interesting but unfortunately especially for some desks is becoming more and more niche, and much more automated. However with exotics you have good shoots in S&T, I know a few traders that were structured and likewise structurers that were traders

Depending also on the type of products you mainly deal with (eg accumulators rather than reverse convertible or yield enhancing etc) you can definitely have a shot on S&T desks
