UVA VS Vanderbilt Undergrad for Consulting, maybe VC, marketing or tech roles
So I'm instate for UVA, but unsure if I will be able to get into McIntire as I will be a second year transfer. I've heard it can be difficult to get into the school of commerce as a second year transfer and I am uncertain about how many prerequisites (if any) I would get credit. It seems like a no brainer for me if I was already in the UVA business school, but I'm not. Vandy seems to have more prestige overall, but I'm not very knowledgable about the school. Recently, I have come to dislike some business classes, mainly in Accounting, which is a con for UVA/McIntire for me as I would be forced to take classes in it there, but its a very minor concern for me. I'm blessed to come from a wealthy family, so even though there is a large cost difference my parents don't really care. I would feel kind of bad about choosing Vandy though as it is still much more expensive. Any insight on the McIntire admission process as a second year transfer would be appreciated as it could greatly sway my decision.
Bottom line: Would a UVA History or Vandy History (maybe History + Econ) degree be better for breaking into MBB consulting (or to a lesser extent marketing/advertising, VC, Tech)?
