Financial Advisor compensation
Hi, I was just wondering what is the typical compensation structure of a financial advisor at an investment bank? Base? What % of commision do you keep? What % does the company you work for keep? What % do you get of the returns on the client's portfolio? Thanks in advance
it depends on the group you are in and how much money they manage. some firms like UBS have rotational programs that pay $50-55k per year for 2 years. base should be around this range.
there is fee based and commission. most likely you will get a fee of 1% of all assets under management(this does change slightly on a client to client basis). you do not get any percentage of the return.
hope this helps
