Advice on taking 1 year off to learn a language

I have slowly been learning French and I've been thinking about quitting and going to France to live for 1 year to become fluent.

I'm one of the worst in my group (maybe not worth it to wait for bonus) and I don't want a future in IB or PE (more inclined on AM), so I don't care how this can affect my IB/PE career possibilities.

I'm looking to work in any job in France that won't require French as a language, and I was wondering if anyone knows any roles I could search for (not necessarily in Paris)? Not very picky about this (and I obviously don't expect to make much $$$).

I was wondering how could this be seen in my CV/resume for when I try to get another job in finance (in a BB atm), as I want to do this but I'd like to minimise any possible downside.

VISA won't be a problem.

Thank you for your advice.
