As a senior in high school, where do I start?
Hello. I am currently a senior in an Ohio high school and feel as though I may be interested in a career in consulting (possibly other finance related careers as well...CRE, Corp Finance, AM, and PE to name a few). I have been accepted to Ohio State, Indiana, Villanova, Case Western Reserve, Emory, WashU, and Boston College. I have been admitted into the business schools in each of these colleges except for Emory, which you apply to at the end of sophomore year. Which college will give me the best chance of landing a strong job out of college? Also, I'd like to move west (Texas, Colorado, Arizona, or California) when I'm around 30 years old (to start/raise a family). Obviously things could change in the next 10 years, but if this is a current goal of mine, would it affect anything? Thanks for your help!
Answering the question of which schools will result in best career opps: I'd say Emory/WashU clear, with a lean towards WashU.
Are there any financial constraints or scholarships to consider?
Ohio State is by far the most affordable, followed by Indiana which is double the price of OSU, then the rest are about the same, all about 20k more than IU.
WashU
Emory, for consulting by a fairly large margin
WashU is a clear MBB target, while Emory might recruit a bit to only the Atlanta office.
WashU is at best a regional target as well. They should have relatively similar outcomes depending on the firm - e.g., WU in Chicago, Emory in Atlanta.
